Waste Collection

Solid waste and recycling containers may be placed curbside after sundown the day before collection or by 7:00 a.m. the day of collection.  Solid waste and yard waste containers are the responsibility of the individual homeowner, and are to be constructed of metal or suitable plastic and not to exceed thirty-six (36) gallons in capacity and 60 pounds when full.

New residents will receive one (1) 18 gallon "blue" recycling bin. 

Collection Schedule

  • Solid Waste: Tuesday and Friday
  • Recycling: Friday 
  • Yard Waste: Wednesday

Solid Waste

All types of food and animal waste must be placed in non-returnable containers, i.e., bagged or boxed to prevent exposure to collection personnel.

The following solid waste items are only collection on Friday:

Yard Waste

Yard waste consists of grass clippings, palm fronds, tree trimmings, and other vegetation.

Please place yard waste separate from other waste and recycling containers.

FREE collection of yard waste, "created by the homeowner only", is limited to one (1) yard or less.  A "yard" consists of a level loaded small pickup truck bed or a 4'x8' sheet of plywood four foot tall as a box.  Any accumulation in excess of the one (1) yard allowance is subject to an Extra Service Charge of $40.00 (includes 1 yard) and $12.00 per additional yards thereafter.

Recycling

  • Newspapers and their inserts placed in the bottom of bin
  • Aluminum cans (may be crushed to save space)
  • Plastic
  • Magazines
  • Telephone books
  • Old corrugated cardboard (must be flattened with contents removed)

Recycling will be collected, provided it's placed curbside by 7:00 a.m.
